How to prepare a Shopify catalog before a seasonal campaign

A calm pre-campaign checklist for product data, collections, images and publish status.

Editorial illustration of product cards becoming an organized catalog

Campaign pressure makes small catalog inconsistencies much more visible. Preparing the catalog before creative and advertising work begins reduces last-minute fixes and makes the launch easier to verify.

Define the campaign assortment first

List the products and collections that will participate, then confirm status, availability and the intended landing path. Avoid editing the whole catalog when the campaign covers only a focused group.

Standardize the customer-facing fields

Review titles, descriptions, vendors, product types, categories, tags, SEO fields and image descriptions. Consistent information helps campaign pages feel intentional rather than assembled at the last minute.

Create a final review set

Preview the prepared changes, remove uncertain records and keep a simple approval list. After applying, verify a representative sample in Shopify and on the storefront.
